Twitter Aims to Revolutionize Hiring with New Job Postings Feature for Verified Organizations

Twitter, the popular social media platform, is gearing up to introduce a groundbreaking feature that promises to revolutionize the hiring process for verified organizations on the platform. This highly anticipated feature will allow verified organizations to post job listings directly on their Twitter profiles, providing a seamless and efficient way to attract talent and fill open positions. While Twitter has yet to make an official announcement about the feature, some verified organizations have already been able to utilize it, taking advantage of its potential to streamline the hiring process and connect with prospective candidates.

The new feature, aptly named “Twitter Hiring,” enables verified organizations to showcase job openings under their Twitter bios. When interested applicants click on the job listings, they are redirected to the company’s website, where they can delve deeper into the job details and submit their applications hassle-free. This direct link between Twitter profiles and job applications simplifies the recruitment process for both organizations and job seekers.

App researcher Nima Owji provided a sneak peek into the feature, sharing a screenshot that sheds light on its functionalities. According to the screenshot, verified organizations can list up to five job positions on their profiles. However, that’s not the only convenience offered by Twitter Hiring. The platform will also permit verified organizations to import all their open job listings by connecting to a supported Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or using an XML feed. This seamless integration would enable companies to add their job postings to Twitter within minutes, enhancing their reach and visibility among potential candidates.

The origins of this innovation can be traced back to May when Twitter owner Elon Musk hinted at the possibility of the feature. Responding to a user’s suggestion about implementing dating features, Musk intriguingly remarked, “Interesting idea, maybe jobs too.” This subtle hint sparked excitement and speculation about Twitter’s intentions to enter the job market space.

The recent acquisition of job-matching tech startup Laskie in May further strengthened the belief that Twitter was preparing to introduce job postings. Laskie’s acquisition marked Twitter’s first strategic move since Musk purchased the company, and it fueled anticipation for new features aimed at enhancing user experiences. It is widely believed that the incorporation of Laskie’s expertise into Twitter’s ecosystem played a significant role in the development and execution of the Twitter Hiring feature.

Interestingly, Twitter’s job posting feature appears to be a value-added offering, with verified organizations reportedly not required to pay any additional fees to access it. Leading media company Workweek has already gained access to the feature, and its CEO Adam Ryan confirmed that it comes as part of Twitter’s Verified for Organizations package, which is priced at $1,000 per month.

While Twitter has long been a platform where users share job postings through regular tweets, the new functionality takes this process to new heights. By providing a dedicated space for job listings on verified organization profiles, Twitter aims to make it easier for companies to reach a wider audience of potential candidates across its vast user base.
